Equipment
In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank. The equipment you wear varies, depending upon whether you’re diving in tropical, temperate or cold water. Your PADI Instructor will explain the equipment you need and may suggest additional educational materials, such as the required logbook.

UNA will provide all the basic scuba gear you’ll use including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator wetsuit, buoyancy control device, dive gauges and a tank.. Refreshments on board and drinking water are available for all, Breakfast on dive day.
What you carry along?
You will need to start your adventures in Discover Scuba Diving with sunscreen Lotion, Hand towel, Sun Glasses, easy footwear a spare T-shirt.

WHO IS THIS DIVE FOR?
PADI Open Water course is suitable for anyone willing to obtain their worldwide scuba diving license.
HOW DEEP AND HOW LONG IS EACH DIVE?
On Day 2 of your course, you will go to a maximum depth of 12m, under a close supervision of your Instructor at all times.
On Day 4 of your course, you will go to a maximum depth of 18m, under a close supervision of your Instructor at all times.
Duration of each dive will be 35-45 minutes.
WHAT DO I LEARN IN THE PADI OPEN WATER DIVER COURSE?
The course covers three modules of the ‘knowledge development’ section of PADI Open Water Diver course.
Module 1: The underwater world, Dive equipment, Scuba systems, Buddy system.
Module 2: Adapting to the underwater world, Respiration, Dive equipment, Buddy system communication and procedures.
Module 3: Dive environment, Dive planning, Boat diving, Problem management.
Module 4: Dive accessories, Health for diving, Breathing air at depth.
Module 5: Dive table and computer procedures, Using the dive table (RDP – Recreational Dive Planner), Basic compass navigation, Dive safety practices summary.
WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?
As a qualified PADI Open Water Diver, you are able to dive anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 18m with a buddy of the same level or higher.
If you want to take your scuba diving experience and knowledge to the next level, then the PADI Advanced Open Water course is for you! On this course, you will learn new procedures and techniques to allow you to dive safely to a maximum depth of 30m.

DETAILED ITENIRARY
Day 1: Classroom & Pool Session
0900 HRS Arrive at the Dive Resort enroll for your dive course. Read and study the first three modules of
the PADI manual. Sit back relax and enjoy the calm and luxury of the 150 year old heritage villa
now a dive resort, where you will be made to watch a video module 1,2&3 before successfully
completing a questionnaire based on each module.
1630 HRS A 2hrs confined water session will be conducted to put into practice what you have learnt
earlier in the day.( In case a afternoon slot for the pool is available it will be offered)
Day 2: Open Water Dives
0730 HRS Light breakfast will be served at the villa Café.
0815 HRS ETD Boarding dive shuttle at Dive Resort
0845 HRS ETD Dive Boat leaves from the jetty to the dive site. Your PADI Instructor will give you a short
briefing and run through what all you have learnt. There will be two open water dives
during which you will be required to demonstrate some dive skills while underwater.
1245 HRS ETA Dive boat at the jetty
1630 HRS Evening pool session are open for re-run of dive skill
Day 3: Classroom & Confined Water Session
0900 HRS Go through the rest three modules of the PADI Open Water manual. You will be made to
watch video module 4 & 5 before completing a questionnaire about each module.
1630 HRS A confined water session for two hours will be conducted to put into practice what you
have learnt earlier in the day.
Day 4: Open Water Dives
7:30 HRS We will take you to the dive site. Your PADI Instructor will give you a short briefing of what
all you have learnt. Snacks are served whilst on our way to the dive site.
Feel free to ask any questions. You will be required to demonstrate some
more dive skills while underwater.
1245 HRS ETA Dive boat at the jetty
1300 HRS Arrival back from your dive, clean your equipments with the instructor.
1530 HRS After finish your final exam you are now on ready to celebrate your new qualification as
PADI Open Water Diver! Your certification is valid for life and is globally accepted.
